SUMMER HOMEWORK

Summer homework is assigned to keep the student involved with WICOR strategies (Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading) in order to maintain strong academic behaviors. In addition to WICOR, responsibility and dedication are needed to be successful.

Summer Homework for 2015-2016

• Students have their choice of watching, "The Scarlet Letter,"  with Ms. Mocete on July 19th . The movie version is the 1934 version. It can be found through the youtube link below or through Amazon Prime Video (It's the only prime version available).

• choosing from the following two readings:
  • Thomas Paine, "Common Sense,"http://www.ushistory.org/paine/commonsense/
  • "I am Joe's Body." www.arvindguptatoys.com/arvindgupta/joebody.pdf. 

Students must write a one page summary (3-4 full paragraphs) of which ever they choose and it will be due on the first day of school.  If students choose to watch “The Scarlett Letter”, they must RSVP with Ms. Mocete via email by the scheduled date.
